Falling Leaves

Here's the finished top I've been working on for my entryway.
The pattern is called Mini Twirl by Fig Tree & Co. I used the Fireside collection of Boundless Batiks from Bluprint for the leaves and picked up the border fabric at a local JoAnns.  I'm not entirely happy with the outer border being such a bold red but I think it'll still look nice with the decor that will surround it.

I also finished my November mini quilt from the Stitches of Love club.  These little minis are fun to make and I really enjoy the machine applique.

When I first posted about my falling leaves quilt I had kind of forgotten it was Halloween. Later I decorated a bit and handed out candy (while watching the 49ers  beat the Cardinals!!) We had a ton of Trick-or-Treaters.

Hoping to enjoy a quiet Sunday...kinda dreading Monday.   :(

Quilting Therapy

Taking a break from Facebook and life too. Been a bit stressed and anxious. Sewing calms me down and distracts my mind from a billion thoughts. It has been almost 7 years since my last post and I'm not sure if I will continue posting or not but right now I feel like I need a place to share.

I'm currently working on a small fall project...

Soon to be a small wall hanging for my entryway. LOVE fall colors.

We even have a bit of color outside as well.

Feels good to smile.
'Til next time...
